Welding Supply Stores (WSS) admittedly make money on two things; gas and brass. Many are excited at the prospect to deliver value to a strategic customer and so introduce BorNiGuard ceramic anti-spatter. However, once they realize significantly reduced sales of tips, nozzles, diffusers, etc they stop promoting it. Of course, they will transact an order for BorNiGuard when asked for it, but not actively promote it.
You might be lucky to have that WSS rep who sees the bigger picture and wants to earn your next gas contract. When your rep promotes BorNiGuard you know he /she is looking out for your bottom line.
